Configuring the Vérifone Electronic Payment Terminal supplied by Stancer

Stancer can provide you with an Eftpos terminal free of charge.

Please note if you make less than 150 transactions per month, you will be charged for it. Take a look at the rates. (https://www.stancer.com/fr/tarifs).

There are several advantages:

  • payments made on the POS terminal are visible in dolibarr (“Stancer” bank) at the same level as online payments (currently being developed, I can't wait for stancer api v2 for this)
  • you unify your flows
  • your dolibarr “drives” the Eftpos terminal by “pushing” the amount to be collected, and as it does so it “notes” the information so that it can paste the payment back onto the invoice once confirmation has been received!

But to do this, you need to do two things:

  • configure the payment terminal (TPE)
  • install / launch a software agent on the computer on which the Dolibarr point of sale is used

Configure the Stancer/Verifone POS terminal

Configure the WIFI network on the POS terminal

Your TPE must be accessible on the network from your workstation displaying Dolibarr TakePOS (for security reasons, do not share your company's wifi network with your customers/employees, etc.).

  • Go to Settings > Communication > Wireless networks > Wifi. Activate the Wifi module and wait a little while.
  • Then go to Main Access > Wifi > configure wifi > search network.
  • Configure your wifi network
  • Go back to Main access > Wifi > Configure network > Choose DHCP or other depending on your network.
  • Print config to have a small ticket with the technical information you will need later.
  • Settings > Communication > Emergency Access > and check that GPRS / 3G is active.

Note about DHCP: it's advisable to set up a DHCP lease for your TPE to make sure it doesn't change IP address one day…

Configure the TPE's "Cashier" mode

  • Settings > Cashier > Settings > Activation > Activate (Yes 2 times)
  • Settings > Cashier > Show config
  • Check that the IP indicated at the top corresponds to that of your ticket and note the configured port (e.g. 5000).
  • Cashier link active“ must be green
  • Settings > Cash desk > “Cash desk number” must be 001 for your 1st cash desk, 002 for the second and so on. This is important because it allows cash desk 1 to send the amount to the correct POS terminal …

Install and configure the CAP-REL / Stancer agent

Go to the dolibarr tpe module configuration and follow the instructions
