Overview

DoliPDF is a Dolibarr module that automatically converts your ODT documents (proposals, invoices, orders, etc.) into PDF files. It works transparently when Dolibarr generates documents, with no manual action on your part.

How it works

When Dolibarr generates a document in ODT format (from an ODT document template), DoliPDF catches the creation of the file and converts it to PDF. Two conversion modes are available:

  • Remote server - The ODT file is sent to a DoliPDF server (by default https://pdf.cap-rel.fr), which converts it and returns the PDF. This mode requires no extra installation on your Dolibarr server.
  • Local command - LibreOffice, installed on your Dolibarr server, performs the conversion directly. This mode needs no internet connection but requires LibreOffice to be installed on the server.

Requirements

  • Dolibarr 14.0 or later
  • PHP 7.4 or later
  • An ODT document template set up in Dolibarr
  • For the remote mode: an account on a DoliPDF server, which can be opened directly from the module
  • For the local mode: LibreOffice installed on the server
